A fascinating comment on Rick Moran's blog about the Iranian capture of our sailors is making waves in the blogosphere and on Facebook. It makes a lot more sense than any of the official explanations we have received for the capture and subsequent release of the sailors.

It’s not the first time they’ve used my stuff for an article, but buried my name in the middle. The real situation is “How do we use his stuff, (it’s good), but he’s such an icky nasty fellow, really ‘way out there,’ so he’s NEVER going to get a byline at AT. EVER.

It’s not the first time, and I’m disgusted at being dissed.
I’m probably going to write a piece about the sleazy “pay-to-play” practices of some “famous-name-brand” conservative websites.

Whores are whores, but at least they are honest about their profession.

I’ve got better things to do with my time than blog. Although I’m definitely starting to see why they won’t pay you. Anybody that responds to mild criticism with profanity is quite simply not somebody anybody with half a brain wants to work with. Not worth the trouble, especially not with thousands of other more pleasant bloggers.

I did, my comment about not being bylined is buried in the middle of 600 replies, and no answer from Thomas Lifson.

AT is like “American Idol” for aspiring commentators. AT has a half dozen pets who write several articls every week, on anything they like. The rest is “American Idol” with Lifson playing Simon Cowell. “Who shall I choose to elevate??? Hmmmm....whom do I like?”

Fair enough, even if he’s rejected a few of my submissions with sterile form emails.

But this is the second time he’s used my content as the “meat” in a sandwich, with book-ends before and after, using his own name as byline.

That’s just a low class scumbag thing to do, and I’m going to write something about AT, and other famous “conservative” websites who have a very sleazy “pay to play” policy, even worse than Lifson playing Simon Cowell on AT, trawling the nets for new content, and deciding who to byline, and who to steal from.

Yes, using someone’s original content with “bookends” to deny a byline is stealing.

Yep, and all to avoid giving me a byline. Lifson is a POS. I'm going to write something about "American Thinker Idol" and other "Pay to Play" (fake book reviews in exchange for big $$$$) so-called conservative websites. I'm not saying AT does that, but I know for a fact that others do, and I'm going to prove it in my little expose of their sleazy practices.

I think you’ll find it most interesting, and, if I am not mistaken, at the very end of the interview, he makes your point that the takedown was intentional.

Not sniping at all. Simply pointed out possibilities, which you chose to take very personally and get pissy for no good reason. Which I think explains why AT doesn’t pay your or contact you. Really, read your replies to my mere suggestion of mild criticism and then look at it from AT’s point of view. Would YOU inflict a guy that gets that off the rails from any hint of criticism on your employees?

Bottom line, I still think they were given up. I put nothing past them. Carter, or was it Kerry, admitted it when they let it slip that they phoned up our good friends the Iranians and axed them for a jump start.
