Hello!

I think I can state with pretty close to 100% certainty that all people reading this thread will die, as will the same percentage of people ~not~ reading this thread.

Our local school district has always used our own kids to promote their ballot issues. For example, if a school levy is "state issue #10", I've seen kids run shirtless across the football field during halftime with "yes on 10" painted on their chests.

I even heard a story from one of my kids that a teacher ripped into the kids after a levy failure saying that if it wasn't for their cheap parents at home, they would still have busing in the district. Or something like that.

It's disgusting. I've asked my kids if they know how much I pay in property taxes, how the levy will affect my property taxes, and how the district is currently spending the money they get. That got the point across to them very well.

I believe they've toned it down a bit since they've gotten a lot of complaints. But you can still see the "yes on 10" signs stapled to bulletin boards inside classrooms come election season.

Using kids that aren't old enough to vote or pay taxes to promote tax-based issues is very very wrong.

so, the tax suckers object to a law that forbids the use of tax dollars to lobby for more tax dollars. If afflicted by reason or logic how does one support this position?

I can’t read the initial post beyond the “school officials” part.

(Odd control characters, I assume)

People who send their kids to the government to be educated are less than human garbage. Utter gutter spew, they are.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:27-28

It is a surety folks.
