Actually I had a discussion with Freeper WhiskeyX last night and he told me McCain was not born in the canal zone but in a hospital in Cologne. He has been studying this for a long time and seems very informed. The history is that either you are born on US soil with 2 US citizen parents or you have diplomatic immunity in another country which means another country can’t claim you as a citizen.
So that would make sense because I recall that the rats and the GOP got together and resolved McCain’s issue (which I misunderstood at the time) and agreed in turn to ignore Obama’s ineligibility.
I see this as paving the way for the globalization of the USA because Obama was obviously going to do their bidding and I imagine so would have McCain.
Cruz is not the answer, he just adds to a very serious problem - something he is well aware of.

So many people were misinformed about this in 2008. If McCain were ineligible, even if he had a shadow of a doubt about his eligibility (why the need for a Senate Resolution???? with BO approving it?) he never should have thrown his hat in the ring, war hero or not, American citizen parents abroad in the service of the U.S. military or not. He was in the "gray zone" and we don't need any "gray zone" candididates -- we need Article II eligibility free and clear.
I know this is wishful thinking, but I think if McCain owned up to his ineligibility for the office and said his 2008 campaign was a mistake, begged forgiveness from the American people, and openly threw his support to Trump -- what do you think?
I think it would be a wonderfully clarifying, purifying moment for our nation.
There was no military hospital in the Canal Zone, and that’s why McCain was born in Colon, Panama, hospital. Hence the clarification on eligibility by the Senate in 2008. Amazing they didn’t take up the issue of Obama as Hillary’s team were the original Birthers trying to get traction. Here you have a man admitting through written word and speeches about his foreign daddy and foreign birth place.
My problem with Cruz beyond the eligibility issue is the Goldman Sachs wife and insider status for a very long time. He is not what he appears to be in his posturing as an outsider.
