These candidates let their ambition get in the way of doing the right thing...a giant red flag to start off with.
In Cruz’s case it’s particulary aggredegious because of his claims of total knowledge on the subject. As we’ve seen with Obama this can also mean you figure you know how to get around the constitution.

It’s getting to the point (and two points make a line) where if I hear someone loudly assert “I’m a Constitutional expert, I taught Constitutional Law, I’m a defender of the Constitution, don’t question me” I do a perimeter check. :(
