Those with interests in eschatology should find Shoebat's views contained herein interesting.

A major war, on many fronts, does seem inevitable.

Lol. Well at least he spelled the countries’ names right, even if he doesn”’t have a clue.

Yeah, it’s WWI all over again. I’m going
to go out back of the house and dig a trench.
Won’t be caught off guard this time!

This brings up two questions. Should NATO kick out Turkey or should the US leave NATO?

Go to Germany and look around —Turkish people have invaded and destroyed Europe’s most productive country.

Why should a SINGLE American soldier die for them..?

The idea is ridiculous.

Better to let the last Turk fall on the battlefield at the same times as the last Russian soldier.

Let them beat each other to dust.

Those with interests in eschatology

I draw the line at Cacotopia.

In reality, I think it means the last fang of Nato will be yanked out. Turkey s going Islamunistic. Syria with Russian help is fighting to remain a secular dictatorship. On the other hand who knows with Obama. He does have a penchant for choosing the most damaging solution for the U.S

Those with interests in eschatology should find Shoebat's views contained herein interesting.

As well as those with interests in plain ol' foreign policy, current events, the price of gasoline, and the value of hearing from former Muslim converts to Christianity.

Thanks for posting Shoebat's take on things.

I like Shoebat’s worldview, but a lot of what he says turns out to not be true.

I doubt Shoebat really believes what he's saying. If Turkey invades Syria, the Russians will probably get steamrolled, because Turkey is one of the more capable NATO members and has local superiority in numbers and equipment. Russia will also have significant difficulty with resupply.

Unless Russia counters Turkey's move by invading Turkey itself, WWIII's not happening, because NATO primarily commits to defending the territorial integrity of its members against foreign aggression. I don't think anyone believes that Syria is part of NATO, and Russian defensive actions against Turkey in Syria aren't exactly foreign aggression.

What might happen is that the Russians might test NATO's resolve by flattening Turkish air bases with ballistic or cruise missiles. My suspicion is that NATO won't respond with missiles against Russian air bases.

Between the fifteenth century, when the Ottoman and Russian Empires became neighbors, and 1917, the year of the Bolshevik revolution, the two peoples fought at least seventeen long wars, all of them instigated - and won - by the Russians...

This guy needs to sue his high school. Russia did not win them all. Ever hear of the Crimean War? That was the most famous and the Turkish side won. Also, it wasn't their first victory.

Russia has been cozying up to Azerbahjan lately, and may screw over their ally (Christian) Armenia, to help (Muslim) Azerbajan.

Turkey and Russia are still nominally allies. They may not be feeling so warm right now, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will not continue to be allies.

New Russian cruse missiles can be launched, without going through the Straits, from the Caspian Sea; the S400 system will take out any Turkish AF in its southern half; the S300 systems shipboard in the Med will deal with any flights from the west; the Russian heavy cruiser will make short work of any Turk ships.

So Turkey will be dealing with strictly a ground invasion without any air cover - its tanks and troops will be exposed, and wiped out. Worse any degradation of the Turk Mil will leave them unable to deal with the Kurds and give the Peshmerga a freehand on the southern boarder.

Iran could step into halt the Kurds, but is currently unable to field any troops other than a few from its general staff who are dropping like flies.

Much ado about nothing ...

I don’t believe Turkey would invade Syria, and I don’t think NATO would support Turkey if Russia responded in the appropriate manner.

I will interpret: the authors focus on eschatology shapes what he reports and how he interprets events to the extent that nothing the author writes is credible.
