RE: No one who can think clearly believes that Carson was going to suspend his campaign at the very beginning of the start of the Iowa caucus. It defies logic.

PRECISELY, that’s why these tweets won’t and DID NOT affect his votes in Iowa. In fact, based on his better than poll average showing, it can be argued that it HELPED.

Nonsense. The Cruz campaign blasted out a Carson is quitting vote for Cruz email to 1,500 precincts to help Carson? Total BS.

This has been shown to be a lie. Nothing that came from the Cruz HQ said Carson was quitting.

RE: The Cruz campaign blasted out a Carson is quitting vote for Cruz email to 1,500 precincts to help Carson? Total BS.

Nonsense. The messages coming from CNN gave a very misleading impression. In fact, going to Florida to get “fresh clothes” is very unusual. All other candidates were flying to NH.

If Carson needed fresh clothes, NH has lots of shops for these. So it was highly unusual indeed and certainly gives the impression that Carson was not planning to seriously compete in NH.

That tweet came from Steve King, who got the wrong impression from CNN’s reports. He said “It looks like” Carson is out.

King apologized for the tweet later.
