MUIR: Senator Cruz, thank you. I want to bring in Senator Rubio.

This question is about immigration, it is also about leadership. You're aware of the criticism from many candidates on this stage tonight that you co-authored the so-called Gang of Eight bill that would have created a path to citizenship for people here illegally.

Governor Christie has said of you, as soon as you felt the heat, you turned tail and run. Governor Bush has said, "I don't think we need people cutting and running anymore."

Did you fight for your own legislation, Senator, or did you run from it?

Yeah that’s the same argument the losers in the congress and senate (both Republican majorities mind you) keep saying and I bet even after a Republican President then they will move the goal posts and say, “We have to wait until the Supreme Court is in our favor in 4 more years to get anything done”.

I think you’re right on your points here, but I think Rubio was also wounded badly during the exchange with Christie. My boys and I were watching (10 & 13, they WANTED to?!?) and i said to them when it happened, “ you may be seeing the demise of Rubio’s campaign right here”

I thought Rubio was right on the money about Barack Obama knowing what he’s doing.

I think so too, however, when he repeated his statement a second time, word for word, I thought it was a little strange. When he repeated it yet again, I thought he was really hurting himself at that point. Yes, it's a legitimate statement, but it loses its effectiveness when you just keep repeating it over and over.

Trump's still the man for that. Irony for Cruzers ...

Yep and Trump has Cruz and Rubio - both, down for the count. And btw, I added more to my posts #162,164 in the 'Trump Vows Forward Motion on Gay Equality' thread from last night.

I thought Rubio was right on the money about Barack Obama knowing what he's doing. He was right on the money about LIFE.

Marco was that. Trump said he believes O to be merely incompetent.

Trump's comment leads to one of two conclusions:

1. He was being "temperate" and chose to not reveal his real opinion of Obama.

Or

2. He actually believes that O is only a big dummy, just flailing about aimlessly, making a mess.

#1 - is simply PC, which Trump claims not to be.

#2 - is counter to what the VAST majority of FReepers have been posting here about Obama for years!

Can you give me an alternate take on this?

Remember Jeremiah Wright?

Actually no one repeated themselves more than Christie saying he prosecuted terrorists.

And did he prosecute terrorists ?

Rubio was not responsive to questions about his absence from the Senate...

Cruz's attendance record is nothing to brag about either.

Are you kidding? Marcobot 1.0 destructed yesterday when Christie ripped him a new one. Why? He has no record whatsoever in a Senate he is bored of and rarely shows up to.

I think Marco would rather show up to a foam party than the Senare.

Rubio did recover a bit by the end of the debate on issues about life. But Christie took him to the woodshed.

....more than Christie saying he prosecuted terrorists.

Christie showed support for Imam Sami Abu-Yusuf of the Muslim Brotherhood.

“He said it wasn’t any good because it would never get the support of the House and of the People.”

...but it did wind up getting the support of a majority of the House Republicans - and of course all of the House Democrats.

It was hours from passing until Cantor was defeated - watch this show, it’s scary as hell what goes on in DC, behind our backs.

Back in the 1980s, there was a Video Game called Dragon Quest. It was kind of cool because you played the game on the normal big pixel eight color screen, but depending on what happened in the game, you would get ten second video clips that flash up, usually of your grusome death.

The first time you saw this game, you loved it, because it got beyond the limitations of the flat screen game, and held the promise of a virtual reality live-action game. But after you saw it a couple of times, you grew to dislike it, because it only had about twenty video clips, and while the video clips were cool, they were all clips of things you really didn’t like, namely, your own death.

I feel the same way about Marco Rubio. When you first see him, you are kind of excited, because he gives these vaguely appropriate sounding answers all wrapped in smooth caramel goodness. But after a pretty short amount of time, you realize that there are only about twenty different clips, and you have seen them all before. Then you start to look at the individual clips, and you realize that you don’t really like them so much after all.

I don’t like Christie at all but he came across as a strong vice presidential candidate.

Christie showed support for Imam Sami Abu-Yusuf of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Which may be true. However, that's not any kind of answer to the question that I asked.
