I remember at the time in 2003, a story about Trump opposing Iraq invasion. Said it would destabilize things. That it wasn’t the same thing as Afghanistan, in his view. At the time I was pro Iraq, and thought his take on things weird.

Whether or not he was honest does not change the fact we found WMD.

First, absence of evidence in not evidence of absence of Trump’s disagreeing with entering Iraq. Plenty of conservatives and libertarians were opposed to entry into Iraq. And there was no reason for anyone to listen to a real estate guy in 2002 or 2003 saying to his associates that he opposed entering the war.
The Bush whitehouse always discounted any find of leftover materiel from prior to a certain date....I don’t recall exactly if it was the first Iraq war or what.
We always focused on Saddam’s capability for quick production, and many of us were focused on the ability with the recipe to make small quantities for terrorist delivery.
Again, the bush whitehouse refused to use even that. The bush whitehouse refused to defend itself.
That is NOT Donald Trump’s fault. In fact, it wasn’t too long before the bush whitehouse itself was saying there were no WMDs, the Congress was saying it, investigations were saying it, the media was saying it, Obama was saying it, and they used it to absolutely demolish the republicans in the campaign of 2008.
Again, that is not Donald Trump’s fault.
To repeat, absence of evidence in not evidence of absence of Trump’s disagreeing with entering Iraq.
