Another problem with CFLs, they don’t last longer than incandescents. The ones I’ve used had considerably shorter lives than incandescents.
Mine last years longer. I shop for price and it sure has changed my electric bill. I’ve gotten my money back already...two years.
Seemed like I was doing it all the time (4 recessed ceiling fixtures), CFLs or incandescents, so I started to write the dates on the bases: Oct, 2013 isn't quite 2.5 years for the one that just died.
