now THAT'S funny...
2ndDivisionVet posted a news article from a major TV magazine. We at Free Republic like to get ALL the news. We want to know about Neil Bush signing up with Cruz, Trump’s support of an ethanol mandate, Rubio’s voting time with the Gang of Eight.
2ndDivisionVet posted without comment. He has a history of NOT making personal attacks.
The funny thing is, I do not find the article to be anti-Trump.
1. The codger who sucker punched the man being escorted out is not Trump, and no Trump quotations are included in the article. He’s a free lancer.
2. I immediately picked up on the extreme irony of R. Jones (the fellow hit) saying that hateful people go to the rallies. Well, he went to the rally, and started acting hateful and giving everyone the finger.
3. I think I know what the Trump supporters are thinking: Sheesh! The newspapers, television and news portion of teh radio, and a lot of social media is yakking in our faces undermining us all the time. Can we at least have some peace in a rally meant for Trump supporters? We don’t go bother the Black Lives Matter rallies. As the puncher was 78 years old, it is hard not to get a little sympathy for his spontaneous reaction. The talk about killing him is out of bounds, but bug whoop.
4. Cruz is not “the disruptor” in the race. To my knowledge, Trump may has yet to pull more than 50% of the vote in any primary (he came closest in Massachusetts). Cruz announced first, and even if Trump wins, he may as well get used to being able to respond to attacks on his record and judgement, because Hillary Clinton will sure try to get him with it.
These are the primaries, not a coronation. The schedule coming up looks favorable to Trump, maybe he can run away with it, maybe not. Let’s get our gripes and disagreements out during the primaries honestly so we can get together in the fall, when it counts for the general election.

It's already started. Lefty girl I used to date posted a piece that made it look like they guy was punched solely for being black at a Trump rally, no mention of the guy's behavior.

I reiterate - you post items that I miss - not many but some - and even negative posts create opportunities (stern effect, manufacturing consent, interposing MSM narratives, etc) that move forward.

I am not saying 2ndDivisionVet is anti-anything. He is one of the biggest supporters of democracy on this board, he is a prolific poster and a very valuable member of this forum.
I completely support the guy. But I think this was a bit of a low blow.
Just saying, that is the view from this side of the aisle.
However I agree with everything you said.
And I strongly support 2ndDivisionVet. Have for quite a while in fact.

Now, I know that Rubio and Haley said it's ok to hit people, but it's not ok. People who go to Trump rallies - don't punch people. That's not what we're there for. You can however, point and laugh. Laughter is good. Hitting is bad. Everybody on board with that? Kool.
I am sure you really know the truth of this and are just pushing a false narrative. If you don’t know the truth of this then you are proving Cruz’s point about being uninformed.
