ROFL!
So, not this?
The thing is, when normal people bring up their sex life, they either do it one on one or they do it in a context where the topic of sexual attractiveness, or romance, is already related to the conversation at hand.
The other difference is, Hollyweird propaganda aside, homosexuals are a SMALL minority of the population: which means that they can't just make a sexual comment about someone they are attracted to out of the blue, as the default assumption is that most people are straight: so they have to segue to it, which interrupts the flow of ordinary interactions more than a heterosexual comment would (e.g. nudge guy next to them, look right at cute girl, ask the friend, "Do you think she's hot?" or "would I have a chance with her?") .
Secondly, partly due to the minority status, partly due to the awkwardness, partly due to self-loathing (whether internalized, because of trauma during their conversation to homosexuality, or because of poor upbringing, leading to confused gender roles, or confusion due to whatever-it-is in their hormones leading them to same-sex arousal)...but probably not due to "homophobia" as most of the loudest complainers are already in gay-friendly milieu...many homosexuals feel they have to overcompensate, in effect going "I am TOO, confident in my sexuality" which ends up looking like a huge "In your FACE!" to bystanders, and becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Good points all.
Gay people are children of Gd; they don’t deserve punishment or mocking or poor treatment. But being gay is less good than being straight, just as being ADHD is less good than being without that disability. It is. Everyone is wonderful as they are, and loved (or deserve to be loved) as long as their character is also good.
We need to help people who have characteristics they feel insecure about learn to just “be” with it, to accept themselves as they are, and to be the best person they can be. That’s all any of us can do. You don’t have to be the same. You don’t have to prove it’s the same. And it is wrong to lie and act like your disability makes you BETTER. It just is, and we love you. Let it be; there is no need for an agenda.
I am praying that Milo will see the light one day and turn away from his sinful lifestyle. In the meantime he is totally confusing our enemies, like Nolan Ryan suddenly throwing knuckleballs. I’m glad he’s on my side (politically, that is).
