And so all I would have to do is tell them to hold up a just a minute with their aggressive behavior while I unlock and load my gun? Good grief. Just another reason why I live in Texas.

You can have a firearm in your vehicle in MN without a permit if it is unloaded and cased.

In Florida you can have loaded gun, holstered (not on your person), in your vehicle. No permit needed.

In Maryland, thanks to O'Malley, you can't have a gun AT ALL, unless it is on an approved list, you pay a fee of over $100 and apply to the state government to own it.

However, this has done nothing to decrease gun crimes in Maryland. But it has done wonders in decreasing gun ownership among the population of law-abiding citizens.
