I just checked back at the sidebar, and noticed the story of Walker saying none of the current candidates will be the nominee if there is a brokered convention.
conventional wisdom here on FR and many places has been that the GOP will toss the corpse of Ted aside when they are done using him
perhaps the plan was... deny Trump the delegate count using Ted... break this story during the convention...send Ted’s delegates to Kasich

and THAT is why Trump has been insisting he’ll be the nominee. He knew all along about this story because his campaign manager was directly involved...
He knows the GOP plan, but he also knew this story was going to surface on Trumps timeline, not Mitt’s timeline.
Trump’s not been phased one bit by all the talk of a brokered convention. He just grins like a Cheshire cat.

I think they will try to push Ryan. I know he said he didn’t want it.....but that is the same thing he said about speaker of the house.
