Well, I still go to Drudge several times a day - but there is no doubt that Matt Drudge is supporting Trump this cycle. That became obvious quite awhile ago. Drudge is a Trump site right now, just like places like Red State are in the Cruz camp.
Surprised to see Drudge throw so totally in with Trump though. I mean Drudge’s viewers are mostly the right of center and he is alienating a whole lot of people by being such an open, partisan promoter of Donald Trump.
I have not noticed any changes to the site that would say he supports Trump.
Drudge does not write a single article or very few, correct? I thought he was a clearing house for conservative stuff.
Drudge supports the conservative news. Right now Cruz is all over the news, particularly with the Colorado convention results.
It’s makes sense for him to follow the hot topics in the news, he had a link to Rush saying how Cruz isn’t cheating, he’s winning. So it’s not like all he posted was Cruz bashing articles. And the others weren’t bashing him, they were just reporting that some voters felt shafted in Colorado.
I am surprised that a couple of links on a website could get Cruz so worked up. The truth is that an entire political party and whole sections of the punditry and media on both the left and the right dedicate every day to destroying Trump. If Cruz had to deal with 10% of the flak that Trump catches every day I believe he would curl up into a little ball and never come out of his safe space. So much for the courageous conservative meme.
If Drudge really wanted to be “all Trump” he would have publicized the sex stories that even the MSM did. Even many on here were surprised he did not. Cruz should be grateful but instead he attacks unfairly.
Drudge should be allowed with respect to support whoever he thinks is the best candidate just as Phyllis Schlafly should be. It seems that only Cruz supporters are allowed that without being attacked.
Drudge prefers liberal Republicans so it’s not surprising that he’s backing Trump. It probably has to do with some... social issues.
