Cruz is in a real pickle.
If he is the nomination he will lose in the general.
He will be blamed and his political career over.
I doubt he even finishes his senate term.
The only positive outcome is if he is picked as Trumps VP.
He saves face and his political career continues.
If he is not the VP pick, his career is over.
That is the pickle Cruz is in.

There is NO WAY folks will accept Cruz as VP. The stench of his campaign tactics will never go away.

(Hey Ted, why are you taking one for the RNC/GOPe team, and not ours? Not that we don't know.)

The only way Cruz gets even a thought of a shot at VP, is if Clinton picks Bernie for her VP.
Even then, Cruz would cost Trump the election, and hence will not be tapped for that position.
Nobody cares about his “saving face and/or his political career” other than his loyal (and misguided) supporters.

If I were Trump, I'd pick Bernie before Cruz. At least people know where The Bern is coming from. Cruz is a pathological liar, fraud, and lacks ethics.
Cruz is better suited running with The Beast.
