” “Is the Colorado fiasco backfiring on Cruz?”....
No, it’s not. How could it be anything Cruz did if he followed Co. rules and Trump was to stupid too know what they were? The delegates are in the bank. Now Wyoming is in the same bank because Trump didn’t even go speak to them. “

Just because he followed the rules (that is debatable as well) does not mean it is not backfiring on him. People want to vote. They don’t want some convoluted system like CO or Wyoming.

What did Co and Wy have in common with Trump?........ He didn't bother to show up at either one. The list of delegates were there that were elected to vote for Trump voted down. That's the way Colorado and Wyoming were set up since at least August. Do you really think Cruz had the party all lined up to vote for him since August? In August there were many more candidates to vote for than just Cruz,....like 16. The Bush people, and the Paul people, and the Rubio people, all know Trump is a Democrat That doesn't support conservative causes and people, so they decided to go with a real conservative,....Cruz. Someone who won't gut the Second Amendment. someone who supports the life of a child and hates Planned Parrenthood, someone who understands the economy and won't raise taxes, someone who won't start a trade war, ect. You can't give money to Shumer, Harry Reid, Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton, and say you are conservative. I don't know how long Co and Wy have had the convention system, but Texas has worked pretty much the same way all of my 64 years. Anyone that pays attention to politics knows how the system works, and works within the system. Trump is just stupid if he runs for POTUS and doesn't understand the system. The system actually works in favor of Trump. He has gotten 30 some odd percent of the votes and received 40 some odd percent of the delegates. He only finds fault when he thinks everybody should love him and he finds out they don't.

In Texas, after you vote, you stay for the precinct convention the same day as the vote. Delegates are chosen to attend the county convention a few days after the precinct convention. At the county convention, delegates are chosen to go to the state convention. At the state convention, national delegates are chosen for the thing you see on TV. Most voters, unfortunate only see the primary vote, and the national convention, and have NO idea what happens in between. It would be interesting to take a poll of Trump voters to see how many stayed after for the precinct convention. If they went there, how many went to the county convention. People aren't taught basic civics anymore and then feel cheated when they find out THEY have been doing it all wrong for decades. Co just eliminated the part where the people vote in a primary and went straight to the convention to elect delegates for the candidates running. Saves a ton of money. But just realize, that's the SAME THING as voters voting in a primary. Everyone has the right to show up at the convention,......they just don't. Trump sent an underling because Co wasn't important enough for him to fly out there. Just like NYC didn't like Cruz's comment quoting Trump on NY values,9 even though it's the truth, Co and Wy didn't like the fact Trump didn't even think it was important enough to show up to woo delegates to vote for him.

Trump has shown himself a whiner and ignorant of government, not that someone did anything wrong.

Now look at the title of the post,...." “Is the Colorado fiasco backfiring on Cruz?" First of all, it wasn't a fiasco, and second of all Cruz had nothing to do with the rules Co uses to pick their candidate, Cruz just showed up and followed the rules Co dictated.
