FWIW, Trump has admitted that his reteweet of the Heidi/Melania comparison was probably a mistake. Nobody is perfect. His instinct is to punch back, but he needs to temper that, making sure he’s hitting back at the right person, and in a way that isn’t inappropriate.

He’s trying to rein in his rhetoric because everyone other the trump faithful is tired of his act, he has been whining trying to play the victim.
This is especially pathetic since he was supposed to the the great executive who knows how to build winning orgs and the guy who understands the art of the deal.
