Exclusive: 'Get Over' it? Cruz Responds to Kasich on Religious Liberty
Conservative Review ^ | 4-19-16 | Nate Madden

Despite suggestions to the contrary, Americans are not willing to “get over” attacks to their religious liberty, Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said in an interview with CR.

“I don’t think the American people are willing to get over our basic liberties. We fought a bloody revolution to protect our religious liberty,” Cruz explained. “This nation was founded by men and women fleeing religious oppression, and seeking a land where every one of us could seek out and worship God almighty with all of our hearts, minds and souls, free of the government getting in the way.”

TPP was pretty damn destructive of our liberties. Wish Ted had this much fire back then. And that wife of his working on the North American Union, tsk tsk.

I didn't know that Canada had a revolution.

Kasich is the epitome of White Guilt at the worst level possible.

He’s sacrifice himself up for a beheading if required to do so.

TPP will finish us off. It’s why the establishment is desperate to stop Trump, why they’re pushing Cruz. It will turn what’s left of our businesses over to foreign countries, they will preside over the U.S.

This type of rhetoric will help him with the conservative base...and kill him with swing voters come November.

And, it’s not the principle he is espousing, it is the way he says it. Read it again, Cruz comes across as a Bible-thumper.

TPP was pretty damn destructive of our liberties.

For the 1,347th time on FR, the TPP HAS NOT PASSED EITHER HOUSE OF CONGRESS.

Thank you.

Ask a liberal - any liberal, anywhere - and he’ll tell you the First Amendment doesn’t exist.

No. It hasn't yet been voted on. So when you speak of it in the past tense as if it had already been passed, that's misleading. Here's your quote to which I was responding, once again:

TPP was pretty damn destructive of our liberties.

"Was"? How can it be a "was" when it hasn't even passed yet? Hence, me pointing out -- now for the 1,348th time -- that TPP has not passed either house of Congress

It’s a done deal unless I see anything standing in it’s way. Cruz certainly helped it along.

What is TPP and how can it affect anyone’s liberties? Does it have anything to do with jailing people who dispute global warming (a topic Trump should address)?

“TPP was pretty damn destructive of our liberties.”

Really? Explain, when it hasn’t even passed Congress.

My mistake, Democrats are against it. Ryan wants it fast tracked. Thanks Ted.

It includes regulating the Internet.

Perhaps you and Rooster can take a break from the Cruz bashing to do a little research and find out yourselves. Toss in the research on Cruz eligibility as well.

I love watching liberal tactics being played out on a "republican" site.

Cruz says our country was founded by men and women fleeing religious oppression. True fact....

And instead of discussing this thread where Kasich tells people to "get over" their religious beliefs......they start posting about TPP or other crap.

So do you guys think American's should just "get over" their reluctance to climb on the LGBT train, like Kasich says?

It’s just the Trumpsters trying to divert attention to what they want as a topic....and it will always be to take down Cruz.
