It’s no different than the magnetic stripe on a credit card only more secure ... unless you consider those trackers (which, in a way, they are since you give away your location when you use it :-) ).
They are not activated by radio ... pins contact that funky looking gold thing and read data out of it ... they’re harder to counterfeit.
Yet somehow the US Goobermint had all my background info hacked.

They do track your movement. But hey its 1984. Everything tracks you. :-)
