Agree and that's why he lost. Still think he's more of a Statesman than "The Donald".
Statesmen don’t do stunts like shut down the govt - they make political deals - that’s what statesman means - a diplomat. Cruz is not a diplomat. Trump has shown himself to be a master politician. Only the presidency will show if he is a good statesman. But Cruz failed to be diplomatic with his own colleagues hence he is not a statesman.
