"Trump is going to beat Hillary Clinton like the rented establishment mule she is."

I've been staying away from these Trump threads as much as possible lately. The reason being is I believe that Shillary with all her political experience will devastate Trump in debates with her decades of spinning, parsing, redirection, misleading, avoidance, and outright lying. Poor in-articulate Donald who just repeats himself just seconds later will be out-matched. I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck another foot in his mouth during their debates.

That is why I supported Cruz, who has been know to argue legal points to the USSC and win. Still, I and the wife will vote for Trump in the hopes that he appoints the best people for his cabinet, as he has done in his business life. I would not at all mind him being a figure-head with true conservatives in his Cabinet and following their advice. He can choose whoever VP that gets him the most electoral votes, but the Cabinet positions and agency positions will be the true test of his acumen.

Last point: Isn't it time for presidential candidates start discussing the differences between socialism and capitalism/free enterprise? Hillary, being a socialist, promises more for the "little people". Trump promises the same ole reduction of taxes and regulations.

Okay. But I'm tired of hearing promises. Let's have an open debate about ideology. If Trump were to point out the failing of socialism around the world ( currently Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Greece, South Africa, European Union, not to mention the Soviet Union), he may make the University mush-filled youths think some. It's time we have that debate about socialism always failing.

My hero, Margaret Thatcher: "Socialism only works until you run out of other people's money".

From what I saw of Cruz in the presidential debates he couldn’t debare his way out of a paper bag. He got owned by a guy who never debated in his life. Besides Donald if you were paying attention was Rand Paul who is acerbic, quick, amusing and incredibly informed.

I'm wondering if you watched any of the Republican debates. Trump is so effective because he does the opposite of what others do. He wins debates exactly because he doesn't sound like a politician. Everyone who watches debates ASSUMES that politicians are lying through their teeth when they talk in politispeak. They assume the opposite with Trump. Trump will smoke Hillary because ALL she knows how to do is parse, spin, lie and talk political speech.

The proof is in the pudding. The GOP stood 16 “debaters”, most of whom had never had a job other than “serving the people” and studying GOP talking points. There was one man left standing at the end, and is was not Sen. Cruz, the Harvard lawyer and champion debater.

This election will not be about debate skills. Trump is not a debater in the sense we usually see, and people are quite happy about that. Romney was skilled, smooth, could discuss issues, and he got skunked. Same with Dole, same with McCain.

Trump breaks the mold, and people still don’t seem to understand it.

Cruz may have been magnificent in his presentation of cases to SCOTUS. He may have been the best presenter of cases to ever present a case to the Supremes.

But when it came time to present his case to primary voters, he was marginal at best.
