This has nothing to do about being for or against the LBGT community. Its the fact that we dont feel comfortable seeing a man in our dressing room and that we have no way to tell if he is going to take advantage of the new policy or us. It was extremely uncomfortable.
People need to cancel memberships at places like that and watch them go under. Buy your own exercise equipment, or get together with friends and go in together and exercise at a friend's house. Same way with Target. If you don't feel safe trying on clothes at a store, order online and watch the retailer fold. That's what they deserve for putting the needs of the few ahead of the needs of the many.
You can also home school or send your kids to a private school. Entertain at home instead of going to restaurants or bars, just insulate yourself from this garbage until enough gyms, swim clubs, stores, etc., whose owners champion transgenders over you close their doors. It’s not not worth a fine or a criminal record if you unintentionally make a comment that a transgender feels is offensive. Let the proprietor know how you feel.
On a late night radio show last night the host mentioned that a group of teachers in a town in Mississippi are going to boycott their public school this fall. At least some people have some common sense.
