There were no such videos, but that isn’t the “news” they want to repeat.
It will get now repeated every time!
I have viewed the SJPD as lazy or indifferent due to a professional experience with them. It was a simple routine request to deliver a death notification and they performed horribly. File it under the category of “You had ONE job...” So none of this surprises me.
That, however, does not make me feel any less outraged or embarrassed for the profession.
Four plus decades, to my knowledge, of an "Us against them" mentality can do that.
Right now, most of us would bend over backwards to help a LEO in trouble. However, IF they refuse to defend law and order, maybe not so much anymore. Once you lose the trust of society, youre finished.
I am not one of "most of us" and government and LEOs lost my trust many years ago.
That's really comparing apples and oranges.
Political rallies are not wild parties with a bunch of drunks running around, especially drunken celebrations like stinkco de mayo. These are rallies are full of kids, women, teens and the elderly attending. Certainly not a stinkco de mayo drunken bash where it would be expected to have drunken violent idiots.
It used to be mostly good cops with an occasional bad one. Now it’s the other way around.
My pint was simply that SJPD has never handled large crowds family oriented or not. Years ago the cinco de mayo celebration was billed as a family celebration. After about year two it wasn’t
Family celebration? Right. We were also told illegal aliens were hard working, respectable family people who’s contributions far outweigh their cost in American blood and tax money.
It was all lies.
