I don't either. Which is a shame, because gays really are in extreme danger now. But this letter is too much of a total admittance of fundamental Leftist perfidy to be believed as coming from a former true believer.

Also, there have been graphic photos of gays being murdered in every way from the ME, but only now does this guy wake up to the politics of it? I think not.

It's very easy to disassociate something in your mind when you could never imagine yourself being involved in it. Thus, the gays look at Middle Eastern gays being thrown off buildings and think to themselves, "Since I'm never going to visit the Middle East, that can't happen to me." But they can easily imagine themselves visiting a gay nightclub in an American city, so when a massacre happens at a place that they can easily imagine themselves being, it hits home.

I have no idea if the author of this article is sincere or not. But let's hope he is. We can use all the supporters we can get.
