Again you have to define “human being” is a human a human when just a clump of cell’s?....at what point is an un born fetus a human?....this is a very tough topic...but I ask again....”Are you going to be able to tell a woman WHAT she HAS to do?”
Not tough at all.
Every cell of a woman’s body has the same DNA.
When a woman is pregnant, there are cells with two distinct DNA’s—those of the woman and those of a child.
That is biologically true from the moment of conception.
So, a pregnant woman is really two different people.
So, what gives a woman a “right” to kill another human being?
I wouldn’t consider Freerepublic a place to grandstand liberal views on abortion.
Nature has already told the woman what she HAS to do.
Being against abortion is telling a woman what she cannot/should not do.
A fertilized egg, at the moment of conception is a member of the human species according to the laws of nature. It is not something else, just in a different state.
The moment the seed fertilizes the egg, live occurs since that life will become a child if not aborted. So those “bundle of cells and tissue” that some call it, is actually a life that just doesn’t look like a bad physically yet. If it’s aborted, then it will never have the chance to grow into a child, and then adult. So yes, I’d say that’s life.
As for “it’s the woman’s body” argument, yes its her body with a life growing in her. It’s her choice as we all have free will. But it would be ending a life, regardless of if it looks like a baby yet or not.
Life begins at the moment of conception. There is nothing different in that clump of cells that will be any different in 2 weeks, 8 weeks, 8 months. The blueprint of life is there.
To justify the killing of the most innocent of our species, those who have done nothing wrong, is our downfall.
