Somehow I think that less than likely. However this gang hasn’t failed to surprise me often. So I (suppose) this could be true.
I would hesitate however, to believe this from the standpoint of government officials though. It just seems really unlikely to me.

First they will try to stop Trump from getting nominated. If he gets nominated, they will try to stop the coronation at the convention. If they cannot stop that, they will try to promote a win by Hillary. If that fails all bets are off the last two months of the year.
