I agree, but I take it even further - they justify themselves, but not literally, only conveniently. There is such a thing as evil, and it is a power. People who dedicate themselves to evil, through whatever justification, receive that evil power. But that evil power is like meth, or crack, or heroin - it becomes the end in itself. It consumes them, and they serve it to get more of it, like a drug. But it makes then more and more irrational, and finally insane, and so they become explosively angry if you point out the problems with their "philosophy" because on the one hand, that philosophy is their cover story to get more evil power, but on the other hand, they don't care about its consistency as long as it works. So they will literally scream at you to shut up, because they think you're an idiot because you don't understand that the purpose of the philosophy has nothing to do with its claims, which are just a cover story anyway. ALL liberals drink from this well, as well as RINOs and Muslims and every kind of collectivist leftist - same evil power, just different cover stories. And they're ALL addicts to that terminal drug. And it makes ALL of them insane.
A lot of people share that theory. Martyrdom is the only guarantee to Islamic paradise. The alternative is to live one hundred percent for Allah one hundred percent of the time. No one, obviously, can manage it. So most Muslims expect to spend a limited amount of time in Islamic hell, getting the imperfections burned out of them.
Should add that Islamic hell is described in excruciating detail in the koran. The normal routine is having your skin burned off, having it regenerate, having it burned off, regenerate, etc., continuously for as long as you’re in hell. But then there are Islamic hell scorpions. All that needs to be said about them is that they make the skin-burning seem like a day at the beach.
A person could easily work himself up to the point of madness from merely dreading Islamic hell. After a while, martyrdom sounds like winning the eternal lottery, and unsurprisingly many opt for it.
