To: proud American in Canada
I thought dinosaurs were oil?!

Or, so we've been told, ad infinitum, et ad nauseum, et ad absurdum. If the oil was in the ground when they walked the earth alive, then the stuff we've been told is obviously bunkum, so the question begs, which is true?

The Sinclair Gas station sign is simply that, a sign to get you to buy gas.

Oil's biological origin is likely from something like plankton. Though I do think there is a case to be made for abiotic oil. For example there is methane in space. The Gas giants - Jupiter, Saturn ,etc are almost all methane in gas form, liquid form, slush form & in solid form. Also other hydrocarbons have been found in interstellar clouds and every year radio & optical astronomers find more complex hydrocarbons out there.

Which is true? _________________ I have no idea. Probably whatever suits the politically correct cause du jour. 😊 So confusing! LOL!
