Amen - there is nothing more to say - they are traitors who act like we don’t know their part in taking down America. Send them both to home.

He needs “credit”, he spent all his goodwill praising Obama.

<< Credit when credit is due. Freepers are not unfair people. >>

No, we’re not, and that’s why we’re pissed off, along with millions of other Americans who know “fair is fair” for evil RINOs who are trying to destroy our country to line their pockets.

Ryan knows he’s in trouble in his WI district 1, and McConnell is Majority Leader and didn’t want to be all over the news for refusing to speak or stabbing Donald in the back on live TV.

But always one to be fair, as you said, I will commend both of them for maintaining their well-rehearsed ability to pretend to care about someone other than themselves.

See? I can be gracious with globalist RINOs when I really try. :-)

As Reagan use to say, “Trust but verify”. That’s good advice for Donald Trump when it comes to these two.

McConnell did OK - would have been nice to have him mention Trump's name again at the end.

IMO, Ryan killed it with a great all-around speech and mentioned Trump ate the end to tie him in with the conservative principles Ryan talked about.

Side note - wonder how Ryan felt when espousing those principles and knowing he was endorsing a man who actually intends to follow through....

I agree. Credit where credit is due.

I did not see their speeches, so I can’t comment on the specifics. We here know what scumbags Ryan and McConnell are . . . but the average LIV doesn’t. All they know is that they are Important Men who hold High Office. It’s possible that a few LIVs tuned in to their speeches, and their takeaway would be “Wow, these Important Men are supporting Donald Trump for President. Hmmm, maybe I should think about that . . .”

To be sure, once the cameras are turned off, Ryan and McConnell will resume their backstabbing ways. But the LIVs won’t know that. All they’ll know is that maybe, just maybe, Donald Trump isn’t so all-fired awful, if these Important Men say so.

So yes, last night, Ryan and McConnell did their little bit to help Trump get elected. Credit where credit is due.

They weren’t exactly ringing endorsements for Trump. But they were positive about the party and the mentions of Trump tied into the positive party message.

I expected those two to take digs at Trump in lots of ways that turned voters off Trump but let them weasel out of responsibility (”you misinterpreted ...” after the damage is done).
