Because lib politicians are only a half step up from street thugs, if that. They know that daily they routinely do things that they ordinary citizen would go to jail for. Imagine how they would act if the public were disarmed.
That’s the ‘good news’, we don’t have to imagine b/c its been played out for centuries. When the populace is at the mercy of the govt genocide, political/ethnic/religious cleansing isn’t far behind. Just look at this country...we’ve been committing genocide for decades and few have had much to say about it. It would be a miniscule step, once guns are generally outlawed, for the govt to begin on the born.
