I thought those had been totally replaced, one of my projects. There was political interference by the dummycrats on its replacement, so it’s no surprise. Interesting story about Cheney and the airstream. The airman ran out of RV biodegradable toilet paper and used regular, which promptly stuck to the inside top of the tank. It reeked for days and had to be disassembled. One of my crew got to wear some of Cheney, lol.
I’m loving these LM stories. I recently heard one where they were one of the first crews to airdrop a new hum vee. Well, sometimes it doesn’t go as planned. The chute fails. When the brand new hum vees came out the back the chute failed and the trucks tumbled end over end over and over. The loadmasters were all high fiving and excited because they were the first crews to destroy the new hum vees. Not their fault. Stuff happens.
