The Royal Navy and Royal Air Force regularly shadow foreign ships in order to protect Britain’s coast.

Nothing wrong with shadowing foreign ships, of course. But what foreign ship would threaten the coast? if Britain really wanted to protect its coast, they would stop the illegal migrants from sneaking in through Calais.

I think it was around 1905 that two Russian fleets came through the English Channel on their way to a slaughter in the Pacific.
