Hey, there, Mr. Raghead! Haven’t you heard, the world’s changed quite a lot since 1973. First of all, the US auto and truck fleets get MUCH better mileage; our factories and houses are MUCH more fuel efficient. Oh, and here’s the biggie: US technological know-how has made the discovery of shale oil/gas reserves very easy, and the recovery of oil and gas relatively cheap. We have 8 times the Saudi reserves, and that’s without offshore or what’s in Alaska (and, reportedly, there is a YUUUUUGE shale deposit in Alaska that dwarfs everything in the lower 48 combined.

So you want to use oil as a weapon against us? Go ahead, make our day! We’ll bankrupt you savages - all that you’ll have to live on is the rest of the $150 billion that O’Traitor gave to you...and that won’t last forever.

P.S. President Trump isn’t going to take any more of your shiite - first time you fire on one of our ships, try to kidnap our sailors or just LOOK like you’re going to fire on our ships, then we’ll bust you up but good. It’ll only take a few dozen cruise missiles to totally destroy your refineries...good luck feeding your cars, trucks and aircraft after that, esp. since we’ll blockade your ports and NO ONE will risk sending any refined product to you.

Nice talking to you. Behave, or you’ll finally get what’s coming to you.
