Not saying this has anything to do with Sceintolgy, but let’s consider how and why Sceintolgy works as an ever ongoing cult.

A young Tom Cruise with incredible ambition is promised powerful networking connections of then senior members of Sceintology, a short cut and is presented with a rosy picture of the religion. With those connections his career flurishes quickly.

Over time, through the rituals of Scientology a blackmail file is built against Tom Cruise. Just as a blackmail file HAD been built against the senior sceintology members that had originally help promote Tom Cruise’s career.

And, so now, Tom Cruise can’t leave Sceintology, they demand ever more money, and he is well positioned to now use his influence to benefit the next generation of high profile Sceintologist.

The system feeds itself -perpetually.

So, let’s consider politics. The lust for power is often compared to a heroin addiction. The young will do anything to get it, the old will do anything to keep it. How better to maintain loyally among narcassists then to compromise their future -blackmail. How better to to that then pedophilia?
