Conservative Businesses, Please Use SATs/ACTs, & Internships to Hire/ Change the Culture!
November 20, 2016 | wintertime

Conservative businesses you have enormous power to help change the culture by doing one simple thing:

Forego requiring college degrees for any job that historically never required a degree. Use instead, SAT and ACT scores and internships to identify bright and eager workers.

For those areas of work that do require technical training be bold! Hire people who have taken courses only in the technical areas needed or who have passed privately administered and certifiable qualifying exams.

The longer our nation's youth remain in school the longer they are subjected to Marx-o-liberal indoctrination. Conservative businesses could easily help disrupt this pattern of indoctrination by simply not requiring a degree and using SAT and ACT scores and internships instead.

Very interesting idea. I use 5% of what I learned in college and that is being generous.

Some of the greatest inventors and thinkers of our Civilization were Autodidacts.

Right on. I will include this on my website https://sonsofconstitutionalliberty.com/ as a practical way of godly commandeering of our corrupt established institutions like business. My website is dedicated to influencing the re-establishing of a culture of faith and freedom.

If one didn’t go to college, why did one take the SAT/ACT?

If one took the SAT/ACT, why didn’t one get a college degree?

I worked with many talented non-degreed co-workers in my career as a NASA subcontractor.

I also worked with many with degrees that had zero practical sense.

Charles Murray has suggested that privately developed and administered certifiable qualifying exams could and should take place of requiring a college degree for much of the work done in the U.S. today.

The ACT and SAT is a respected and long standing qualifying exam that does a good job of measuring basic literacy and numeracy. On an application form for a job conservative employers could simply ask for the applicants scores. If enough employers do this then young people would take the exam whether or not they intend to go to college.

Thank you.

The election was very close. Unless conservatives start addressing the **culture** I fear that our freedom could be totally lost in any given election.

The less time in school, the less opportunity there is for Marx-o-liberal indoctrination. And...Exposure to the “real world” is the best vaccination against Marxism.

Of interest to those who are very concerned about the Marx-o-liberal indoctrination of our nation's youth from pre-K through university graduate school.

You got it.

We need more than a political change. We need a spiritual and cultural change.

I use 5% of what I learned in college and that is being generous.

For most of my career, I extensively used the knowledge I learned in college. But then, I have a graduate degree in a hard science.

It is only now that I've moved up in the world that my degree is less relevant to my everyday work.

So the answer to increased global competition is less formal education for our citizens?

Many high schools do SAT tests as part of the curriculum so many young adults have test scores whether the went to college or not.

It’s definitely a data point that would be useful to an employer looking for bright workers who doesn’t want to limit the hiring pool to only those with college degrees (half of whom will be SJW’s with useless degrees in various invented victimology studies).

So?....Delicate Marxocrat snowflakes are good for our nation's standing in global competition? .....Hmmm?...I don't think so!

Regarding spiritual change:

Children in godless schools, taught by teachers who were trained by godless Marxists, is definitely not the way to encourage spiritual change.

This election was a reprieve only. Given the closeness of the election at any time this nation could easily flip to full blown socialism/Marxism.

Conservatives ***MUST*** address the culture: schools, the media, entertainment, and spiritual revival.

As for schools, conservatives must find ways to shut down the godless government K-12 schools, and find ways to eliminate college attendance or greatly reduce the amount of time spent on campus.

The same is true for me. I have a doctorate in a highly technical health field.

However....Even in professions that are highly technical such as engineering, medicine, dentistry,or accounting ( for example) much of the material taught in the classroom is very routine and changes little from year to year. Much of this information is well suited to certifiable qualifying exams. This could reduce the amount of time spent on campus and significantly reduce the cost to the student.

Of course, laboratories and hospital rotations are two examples of technical training that do need campus attendance.
