Squirrel pie is a flavor I recall from childhood. Really good (watch out for the small bones). And my dad used a .22 rifle to get them.
Squirrel stew and squirrel chili. Never made a pie out of squirrel, though I assume it’s something like a Cornish pastry or Shepherd’s Pie.
