I think you have hit on her strategy or at least are on to something here. Because she and that horn-dog husband of hers, don't do anything without an agenda or a scripted plan to implement it, there are few other, if any, logical explanations for her behavior since losing the election.

Look old, mopey, depressed, unkempt and grandmotherly to invoke sympathy for her as a person when the wolves in the congress and the administration come after her for her crimes. Living high off the hog using blood money from foreign leaders via the Clinton Criminal Enterprise would give her an unseemly look for the public. BJ's out of sight, probably spending some down time at Pedophile Island.
