California’s demographics can change, too. If illegals are cut off and we begin to deport illegal criminals, a huge swath of those will come from California. To the extent there are jobs to be filled in that state, they could be filled by people in the other states moving there to take those jobs. Cut off from endless illegal immigration, the situation in California will be different. Remains to be seen how that will play out.
Totally agree, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for it to actually happen. Best scenario would be for a strong economy which make Mexico transform itself into something other than a $#*+hole 3rd world country which made it most attractive for people to leave.
