Donald Trump’s transition team wants the Energy Department to provide the names of any employees who have worked on President Barack Obama’s climate initiatives — a request that has current and former staffers fearing an oncoming “witch hunt.”
The president-elect’s team sought the information as part of a 74-point questionnaire that also asked for details about how DOE’s statistical arm, the Energy Information Administration, does the math on issues such as the cost-effectiveness of wind and solar power versus fossil fuels. POLITICO obtained the document Friday, after Trump’s advisers sent it to the department earlier in the week.

I’d say witch hunt is actually appropriate in this instance since there is little difference between these climate scientist and witch doctors.
But to liberals, if you are, say, a for-profit company ... firing unproductive and counter-productive employees is a 'witch-hunt.'
actually I think much of the witch doctors applied folk medicine that it took science many years to understand and how it worked. THe climate so-called-scientists basically make crap up. But I take your point ;-)

So... the PEOTUS inquires about employees of an executive agency and that is a problem, but when the IRS harasses private citizens with ideological differences from the POTUS, that is OK? At least we know who’s side they’re on!
I don't think it is State, you heard it here 1st, I think his Dept would be Energy. I have heard it is a topic he is passionate about is energy aka that we don't have a cohesive energy policy. Comparing oil vs "X, Y, Z" alt energy sources in terms of cost effectiveness and a road-map for the future might be a fit for Mulally. That and the fact he is a rock star / turn around expert, makes him a win-win IMHO to be the fixer @ Energy.
