My own anecdote from up north (not even in the US, go figure). I frequent a pub a couple times a week. Well, not any more, I’ve been barred for semi-praising Trump, by none other than an Iranian immigrant whom I’m pretty certain isn’t even a citizen and only works there one day a week. She started screeching at me, calling me a racist etc etc. Then complained to the owners and that’s that. I’ve spent quite a bit of money there too, dinner and drinks etc.

I did not mumble a word about the election while it was going on. I shut up when Trump won and I’m still on lock down.
