A friend made an observation some time ago and I've been very frustrated to successfully challenge it, because my friend is absolutely correct:

Islam has produced NO legitimate theology or philosophy whatsoever.

For all of the varied perspectives of the Christian faith, there are still intellects who have deepened our understanding and appreciation of God and our relationship with Him. Minds such as those of Thomas Aquinas, John Calvin, John Wesley, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis...

What comparable thinkers has Islam produced? What works of profound philosophical depths has the religion of Mohammed contributed to humanity?

I can't think of a single thing.
