The idea that it is reasonable, or lawful, to roll up in a BLM protest, start a fight, then pull a gun, is crazy.

He set himself up, and got caught doing it. He thought it was okay to put himself unnecessarily in danger, and then pull a gun to get out of the situation he set up.

It’s not.

The conservative journalist may have simply been documenting the riot when he was "outed" as a Conservative and they turned on him.
In other words, he may not have "rolled up" on the thugs, they may have simply "rolled-up" on him while he was interviewing / photographing.
