I have 2 questions on any war
1) do I agree with the president’s stated objective?
(and (1a) does congress agree with me)
2) are we going full speed for that objective?
If I don’t agree (point 1) the I’m against it. I’ll go with congres (other voters - 1a) if they’re against it even if I disagree with them but I want contress to vote by name.
If the president overrides generals (point 2) we shouldn’t be in it
The Left certainly had no problem committing ALL of us to street wars against each other, endlessly.
