The cancellation by ABC of Tim Allens hit comedy Last Man Standing comes on the heels of CBS Stephen Colberts obscenity-laced rant against Donald Trump and underscores how far the media thought police have gone in their war on conservatives, conservative thought, and even conservative comedy.
Allens show, in which he plays the manager of a sporting goods chain, features Allens biting and genuinely funny witticisms poking fun at all things liberal. Its humor is balanced, with the show featuring a Canadian liberal son-in-law who gets his points across. But it is a rarity among sitcoms, in that any conservative viewpoints are represented at all. In its sixth season, "Last Man Standing" is doing quite well in the ratings. As the entertainment website deadline.com noted:
ABC has opted not to renew the longtime Friday 8 PM anchor for Season 7 despite the fact that the blue-collar sitcom was ABCs second most watched comedy this season with 8.1 million viewers in Live +7, only behind flagship Modern Family (8,7 million). It was the third most watched ABC scripted series overall behind Greys Anatomy and Modern Family .
With a central character who is a political conservative and devout Christian adhering to traditional American values, the blue-collar comedy appeals to viewers in the Heartland, a constituency that helped elect Donald Trump as president and has been energized post-election as evidenced by the ratings success of new USA drama Shooter...
In its sixth and final season, Last Man Standing averaged a very respectable for any night and especially Friday, 1.2 Live+same day rating in adults 18-49 and 6.4 million viewers, regularly winning its 8-8:30 PM time slot.

Actually looks like a perfectly reasonable cancellation. They’ve already hit the syndication line, every year a show gets more expensive (contracts only go up), and ratings had slipped nearly 25%. The trend lines are bad.
All in the family was a hard leftist show. The decent, good, and smart people were everyone except Archie, who was an ignorant, narrow minded, bigot.
Last man standing, the conservative and his conservative coworkers and neighbors are the good ones. The liberals are the rigid morons.
I think it would work there much better than redeye ever did.
Bkmrk.
It’s things like this that make me fond of schlocky B-movies. There’s no pretense about them, they want to make you scream for a couple of hours while taking some of your money. These people make Asylum (of “Snakes on a Plane” and “Sharknado” fame) look like paragons of virtue.
My son let himself talk into it by AT&T and had them install it into his TV. He also let them install it into my TV. When I asked the installer where I can find the channels that I regularly watch, he said oh there are here and there, never explaining where there actually were.
Well I found a channel, that had a interesting program on, so I watched it. But then I had to do an errand and left my house. When I came back there was another program on that channel, but I was shrunk so much down that it was impossible to watch. So I hooked my cable channel back up again. And every time there is someone from DirectTV at Walmart trying to get people to sign up I tell the person straight in the face that it sucks. My neighbor next door has it also, and he is dissatisfied with it too, but he is sticking it out until the 2 trial period is over.
On the Fox channel? I agree, but like I explained to you Red Eye is on the Fox News Channel, not on the regular Fox channel
But ABC also cancelled The Real ONeals and Dr. Ken .
To cut costs dropped many of original Once Upon A Time cast was let go .
Fox needs to pick up- this show-—FREE FOX-—Not part of the pay channels.
This is my FAVORITE show, and I cannot stand Modern Family or others that keep getting high praise.
Bring back Tim Allen, Please.
Red-eye WAS on fnc. It’s cancelled. And fnc pre-empted the last episode with some bs news.
Shillue was nowhere near as good as Gutfeld, but I still enjoyed it. And now miss it. Gutfeld show is good but only once a week.
PS, Last Man Standing is on Netflix.
I LOVE THAT SHOW! Eventually all the episodes will probably be there like with BrBa, The Office, That 70s Show etc.
Netflix has some real bs crap. But if it wasn’t for NF I would not have enjoyed The Walking Dead and all the others I mentioned. So you have to take the good with the bad.
ie. I watched the 1st 3 seasons of TWD in a couple days. Then I was caught up and now record it on the dvr to stay current. Also like The Talking Dead afterward. Chris Hardwick is an excellent host and no pc bs. Although TWD is starting to annoy me with some pc bs. I have to stick it out now to the end.
