Very moving recall of your time defending our Way of Life. A suggestion is that you recount in detail all this in writing for benefit of your heirs.
They need to know.
I have two older brothers who were in Vietnam, and all I’ve heard totals about five minutes. Both were decorated there, and both went on to be career non-coms, but I’ve heard more about Germany, the Philippines, etc, than about Vietnam.
