Their violence is confirmation of that. And if the election trend continues one can expect their violence to escalate in-step.

Yes, but only at the thug street level. The power elite of the left will read such a beat down correctly, and will adopt a whole new tone, almost immediately.
They've already descended to a level of political powerlessness that they haven't suffered since the 1920s. One more right hook to the temple, and their party will be down for the count. But, they're liberals, so it will probably take a punch that hard to snap them back to reality.
If they suffer another electoral wipeout in 2018, their basic survival instincts will kick in. All of the nasty will go right out of them, as they regroup and adopt new tactics to win back the voters. During this phase, you can expect to see very public denunciations of hard left personalities and groups. Antifa, BLM, and other such foot soldiers will be sacrificed, just as the Dems sacrificed the KKK fifty years ago, when they became a political liability.
Of course, all this is predicated on the aforementioned electoral ass whupping next year. If they manage to stanch the bleeding at the ballot box, we're in for a rough four years.
