You’re right - they endorsed Hillary:

“Hillary Clinton is arguably the most broadly prepared candidate for presidency in the history of the office. Her long history of public service has included serving as first lady in Arkansas and in Washington, D.C. In both positions, she strove to be an active force in driving public policies to better the lives of American families, women and children.”

The word "arguably" used to be a well-worn tool of journalism majors/poli-sci minors at U of I back in the days when I used to crash at HS classmates' apartments and have to listen to their current paramours solve all the world's problems within the space of a bottle of wine or a couple of joints. I wonder how many of those John Reed-wannabees ended up at the Gazette over the years?
When I was little, the CR Gazette used to pretend they were as "good" as the DM Register; nowadays, they can take solace in the fact that they actually are every bit as bad.
