In Japan I had sort of long hair and I rode a motorcycle.

one morning I didn’t have very much time my hair was still wet, I didn’t want to wear my helmet during the first part of my ride which is technically illegal.

the first driver behind me who saw me started leaning on their horn repeatedly.

That’s just one tiny example.

Japan tolerates very little deliberate law-breaking, as a result it’s more less a paradise for cops.

the citizenry mostly police themselves.

When did New York City finally turn around and start getting cleaned up?

when they rigorously busted the squeegee guys, turnstile jumpers and graffiti artists.

It sent a signal to all the scumbags and potential scumbags.

the vast majority of ‘criminals’ these days are non-violent drug offenders.

does anyone think this is a good use of our resources ?
