If the president is that unhappy with Sessions he can accept his resignation which is supposed to be on file for all cabinet officers in the Office of the Presidnt.

You have a point. But his approach seems better. Making it abundantly clear, his move to recuse was fatally flawed and force a public, direct, unequivocal resignation with an admission that he acted hastily. Sessions has done immeasurable harm to several important issues we were promised action on in the campaign.

After that statement, I’m thinking Sessions will be gone in time to be the main point of discussion on the Sunday shows.

My take is that we are stuck w/ him for a awhile and here is why.

If he resigns or is fired it goes right to the Trump is Nixon argument adding fuel to a Russian investigation that had almost died out before the Don Jr. entrapment meeting was revealed.

The Trump admin cannot go after Hillary till after this Russia nonsense runs its course. This might have been part of the HRC strategy to create a diversion w/ Russia to delay her investigation and to make it look even more like a retaliation for the Russia probe. Going after a political enemy will never look good, so HRC fading away is best for everybody including Dems, but we know she won’t as she can’t help it.

If Sessions quits, you are looking at 6+ months of Rosenstein in charge as getting a new AG approved in this climate will be almost impossible. Plus we still got to get Wray approved for the FBI before an HRC investigation can get any traction. We know Comey was not going to do it.
