A cruel end for England but they were soundly beaten on the night. Holland were faster, sharper and had a clear plan which panned out perfectly. The Lionesses never really got going and when they did have their chances in the second half, couldn’t take them. Goals from Miedama and van de Donk had the game sealed as the orange shirts dominated, before Millie Bright netted an own-goal with the final kick of the game. England crashing out in a major tournament semi-final. At least we don’t have to act surprised.
